Spain 2018 €2 CCs

The Spanish €2 CC have been issued, the Old town of Santiago de Compostela Ninth of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites series and the 50 years since the birth of Felipe VI of Spain. I was at the Bank of Spain in Madrid this morning to pick some up and I never seen it like this. I arrived at 7.45, it opens at 8.30, and there were already 20 people. I didn't get in till about 9.30 and they were only allowing 1 roll of each per person per day, it was supposed to be 2 rolls per coin per person. I don't know if at the end of the day there will be any left.

'Collapsed' is a word the Spanish use a lot, I'd take it with a pinch of salt. They were very busy compared to when they normally issued €2 CCs and especially compared to a normal day. They were functioning but they don't normally have the staff to cope with so many people.

Yes, I was there, amazing, two hours at street to get only one roll. At the end of the morning some big-sellers were buying rolls at 85 euros.
