what you do if one of swappartner not received the coins

Hello,

Short story.
I and my swappartner agreed to send the coins with non-registered letter (I sent by airmail non-registered, she send simple letter). There were not many.. only 7 x 2 euro CCs
We didn't discuss what to do in case of lost coins. It's natural because we didn't see the point why we should because both never had such experience.

My partner received my coins without problems but I didn't (I absolutely believe she sent the coins but somebody in customs or elsewhere stolen them).

So, does I have the right to ask here to resend the coins once again.
Till this moment I thought that the rule is who send the coins have to make sure that receiver get the coins it doesn't matter non-registered or simple letter.

what is your opinion about that?

Any kind of ideas are very welcome.
Thank you.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2014!

When I use simple post I send at my risk. If the letter gets lost I send another.
My swappartners do the same. Fortunately only a few times this was needed.

Ok, I'm not the right person to comment this, because I always send my coins at least registered. In fact, majority of my shipments are send insured, so I can promise to my swap partners that they will be refunded in case if my shipment is lost.
I don't care how my swap partners send coins to me, as long as they promise that I will also be refunded in case of lost shipment.

Following this logic I can agree with Vangelis, although I have second thoughts about it… Your swap partner also did everything she promised...

The best solution is to agree on all details before sending coins.

Hi
I had a bad swap with SARUNASB from lithuania ,

the letter he sent ( I believe yes ) is lost or stolen , normal letter because only 4 CC coins Inside.
He wrote me he will not send again !

I think he is wrong because in my opinion risk is for the sender .

Have a nice day

that depends how the swappartners agreed to this case.
if i send not registered and it gets lost, i send again, because i save money with unregistered sending.
but thats how i handle it and only max 4x unc coins.

I had story just before Christmas i have sent registered letter not insured 4 rolls and he lost somewhere, so i have sent another 4 rolls. I think always swap partners should put maximum efforts that their partners will get coins and no matter how many times you will need to send those coins. Thats my opinion.

Shipment are done at sender risk, if insured he will be refund, if not insured he have to send again.
That's very important to fix these rules with swap partner before .
